Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy

We’re of course sorry if you have to cancel your stay with us, but we understand that unexpected things happen. Below you’ll find a clear summary of our cancellation policy and the rules under which bookings and payments work with us.

1. Booking and payment

You can make a booking with us in two main ways:

• Through our reservation form — after submission you’ll be redirected to the secure payment gateway Pays.cz, where you’ll pay a 50% deposit of the stay price. Approximately one week before arrival we’ll email you a second link to the payment gateway for the balance.
• Through booking portals (Booking.com, Airbnb and others) — in this case the payment and cancellation terms of that portal apply, and you pay directly to the portal.

A booking is binding once the deposit is paid (or once the portal confirms the booking). The stay price stated in the booking confirmation is binding for you.

2. Cancellation by the guest

You can cancel your booking at any time by emailing chalupamlynarka@gmail.com. The date and time the email is delivered is decisive.

• More than 14 days before arrival: cancellation is free and we’ll refund your deposit to the account it was paid from (usually within 14 days).
• Less than 14 days before arrival: the paid deposit (50% of the stay price) is forfeited to the host as a cancellation fee. You don’t pay the balance, of course.

If you cannot complete the stay due to serious reasons (death in the family, hospitalisation, serious illness, natural disaster), please let us know as soon as possible and provide written proof of these facts within 3 days. In justified cases we’ll waive the cancellation fee or offer an alternative date.

Note: If you booked through Booking.com, Airbnb or another portal, cancellation follows that portal’s terms — please contact the portal directly.

3. Change or cancellation by the host

In the event of unforeseeable circumstances (force majeure, breakdowns, power outages, etc.) we reserve the right to change the agreed conditions of the stay or to cancel the booking. In such cases we’ll refund all paid amounts in full and try to find an alternative solution.

4. Vouchers (gift certificates)

A gift voucher for a stay purchased from us is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated on the voucher. The voucher can be redeemed for any available date by arrangement with us. The voucher is transferable — you can give it to someone else. The voucher value cannot be refunded in cash.

5. Complaints

If something doesn’t work as it should during your stay, or you’re not satisfied with something, please proceed as follows:

1. Let us know as soon as possible by phone at (+420) 776 247 358 — most things we can resolve quickly remotely.
2. Then please write it up by email to chalupamlynarka@gmail.com, ideally with photos — so we have everything properly documented for further handling.

We’ll handle the complaint within 30 days of its receipt by email at the latest.

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement, you have the right as a consumer to turn to the Czech Trade Inspection as the body for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.

6. Guest rights and obligations

Rules for staying at the cottage (check-in and check-out times, behaviour on the premises, pets, no smoking, etc.) can be found in our House Rules. Practical information for your arrival is summarised on the page Before your arrival.

7. Personal data protection

We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR regulation solely for the purpose of handling your booking and meeting our legal obligations (e.g. guest register, foreign-guest reporting). Details can be found on the page Personal data protection.

These terms and cancellation policy are an integral part of the accommodation booking. By paying the deposit the guest confirms they have read and agree to them. The host reserves the right to update the terms at any time; for already confirmed bookings the wording valid at the time of creation always applies.

These terms and cancellation policy are valid from 1 January 2026 until further notice.
