House rules

Welcome to Cottage Mlynářka. To make your stay enjoyable for you as well as for those who arrive after you, we’ve put together a few rules. Please read them before your arrival — so we can all feel at home here.

Key times at a glance
🕒 Check-in: from 3:00 PM  •  Check-out: by 10:00 AM
🌙 Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Arrival and departure

  • Please respect the check-in time from 3:00 PM and end your stay on the day of departure no later than 10:00 AM. If you extend your stay without prior agreement, we may charge for an additional day.
  • Only guests registered for the stay may be accommodated at the cottage.
  • Before your arrival we’ll send you a link to the online check-in by e-mail — please fill it in before you set off.
  • We may refuse to accommodate more people than the number stated in the booking confirmation.

Payments and bookings

  • All payments are made cashlessly in advance via the Pays.cz payment gateway. Nothing is paid on arrival.
  • When booking you pay a deposit of 50 % of the total price (including the local fee and the dog fee, if applicable). The deposit is due within 3 days of booking confirmation.
  • The remaining 50 % is due no later than 7 days before arrival.
  • In case of an early or interrupted stay through no fault of the host, we are unfortunately not obliged to refund the price of the stay or any part of it.

Cancellation policy

  • More than 14 days before arrival — your deposit will be refunded in full.
  • Less than 14 days before arrival — the deposit is forfeited to the host.
  • We recommend taking out travel insurance that covers cancellation fees.

During your stay — quiet, cleanliness, equipment

  • The cottage may only be used by people who are not affected by infectious diseases.
  • Between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM please observe quiet hours — it’s a nice place for the neighbours too.
  • Please leave the cottage clean and in its original condition.
  • Please do not move the cottage’s furniture and do not take it outside.
  • Please do not interfere with the electrical wiring or other installations.
  • Please refrain from using your own larger appliances; the exception being personal hygiene devices and personal computers.
  • In winter, please leave skis and ski boots in the hallway near the entrance and change shoes before entering the living area.
  • Whenever you leave the cottage, please close the water taps, shut the windows, switch off appliances, turn off the lights, and lock the cottage.
  • In case of lost keys we would have to ask you to cover the cost of replacing the lock and key cylinder of the entrance door in full.
  • Parking is allowed only in the designated places. Unfortunately you cannot park directly in front of the cottage.
  • Fire may only be made in the fire pit and must be properly extinguished afterwards.
  • Smoking, the use of drugs or other psychotropic substances, and excessive consumption of alcohol are forbidden anywhere in the cottage.

Faults, complaints and damage

  • If a fault appears on the cottage’s equipment, please let us know as soon as possible — we’ll try to remove it without undue delay. If we don’t succeed, we’ll write a settlement record together; without it, no complaint can be acknowledged.
  • Complaints must be filed no later than 3 working days after the end of the stay.
  • If damage is caused to the property or equipment, please let us know immediately and pay for the damage on the spot in cash. You have the right to ask the host for a written confirmation of the payment.
  • The person making the booking is responsible for the other guests and any damages will be claimed from them.
  • We unfortunately cannot take responsibility for items left in the cottage, even though we do everything we can to prevent any damage. Guests’ property is not insured. The host is not liable for damage to property unless it has been entrusted to safekeeping. Liability towards natural and legal persons is governed by the Civil Code.

Dogs and other four-legged guests

We’re happy to welcome dogs and other pets — we have a permanent four-legged guest of our own at the cottage. So that we can all feel comfortable, please observe a few rules:

  • Animals may only be accommodated with the host’s consent.
  • On request, please present a valid vaccination certificate.
  • Please don’t leave the animal anywhere in the cottage (including the rooms) without the supervision of the accompanying person.
  • Please don’t let the animal rest on the bed or on other furniture used for guests’ rest.
  • Please don’t use the bathtub, shower or sink for bathing or washing the animal.
  • For feeding, please don’t use the inventory designated for preparing and serving meals.
  • Please clean up any “accidents” on the surrounding land after your pet.
  • The accompanying person is responsible for observing the quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM and for any damages caused by the animal to the cottage’s property.

Safety and final provisions

  • We’ve done everything we can to make sure nothing happens to you here. In normal operation, however, we cannot take responsibility for the health of the guests.
  • Guests are responsible for the safety of the persons in their care in all areas of the cottage and its surroundings. Guests’ health and life are not insured by the host.
  • By paying the deposit or the full price of the stay, you acknowledge and agree to these house rules. Every guest is required to read these rules and observe them. In case of serious or repeated breach, the host has the right to cancel the accommodation without compensation.
  • All provisions of the house rules apply without exception, unless the host and the guest agree otherwise.
